The most striking feature of this development area – located along Wrightsboro Road between Mill and 12th Streets – is the graceful tree canopy that softens the light and summer heat and provides a sense of a community that feels like a step back in time. It is also home to one of the top magnet schools in the county (CT Walker) and several of the area’s most popular churches as well as the venerable Bethlehem Community Center.
This area features a brand new pocket community, Bailey Place Apartment Homes, developed by the United House of Prayer on Wrightsboro Road at 12th Street. A second phase of this project will feature one and two-family homes—all within easy walking distance to schools and churches. Plans for East Mill Village also include five new single family homes to be built on Perry Street. Check back for updates on these developments.
